It’s amazing what you have lying around your house which is actually immensely valuable! I recently decided to have a big clear out of things from my house because I was planning to move and down size. I thought that I might as well hold a jumble sale to see what cash I could get for some of the junk I had been storing up over the years!
The jumble sale was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen! Absolutely everything that I put up for sale sold, except for one or two specialist items. I couldn’t believe the things that some people are prepared to buy – it seems like people come to jumble sales determined to buy something, no matter what it is!
The only things that didn’t shift were two gold pendants that I had owned for years but never wore. They were both quite valuable as far as I was aware but I suppose nobody is going to buy something like that from a jumble sale not knowing their value.
I wanted to get rid of them though, so I went online and found a Gold buyers website. I decided to send the pendants off to find out what they were worth, and I was amazed to find out that they had been valued at more than I even thought they would have cost new!
As soon as I heard this news I agreed to sell the pendants and the cheque arrived in a matter of days. I had managed to clear half of the old contents of my house, and make a rather large sum of money to boot! Instead of resting on my laurels though,. I immediately started hunting around the house for any other gold pieces of jewelery I might be able to shift!
